About Me

One of the many things I find so endearing about art is the ability to create something out of nothing. Although there may not always be material similarities between projects, each is derived and sparked by the joy and liberating feeling I get when running my fingers across new fabric or holding a fresh slab of clay in my hands. It’s all so freeing.

As an artist, one of the true defining traits I possess is my love and joy for working with different types of media. My current works show that diversity across the board in my dye methods, embroidery, ceramics, and painting.

Leaning towards themes found in nature, it’s a subject that conjures up a lot of emotions channeled throughout my process, as well provides a backdrop for me to draw such strong color variations from.

A life without art is a bleak and colorless life I pray to never see. Art is a subject matter that presents itself as a matter of escapism, an opportunity to clear my mind and leave it all out there on the canvas or whatever respective medium is peeling my demons that day. And with art, I find constant inspiration from day-to-day interactions and everywhere they take me, cultivating new ideas and bringing them to life.
