Cole Waldron is an acrylic painter with influences from artists such as: Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Sterling Ruby, Wassily Kandinksy, and Piet Mondrian.
“I’m trying to put on canvas what I imagine my thought processes to look like. Sure, I understand the brain communicates with itself, neurons, and dendrites and stuff — but I try to inject a bit more emotion into it.”
Cole continues, “from there, I try to react to the various problems faced by the world. Much of the tension in my work is a direct reflection of the tension I feel from: global climate change and racism, two of the issues I think will define my generation.”
